I loved working with the team at Harcourts Real Estate
As I shared during today's 2-Hour Workshop, one of the biggest mistakes I made when I started designing workshops was thinking of the content first, people second.
The moment you put People First, it helps you understand what's required, what's necessary, and then you can weave some x-factor things in (like, crafting an agenda around a cricket test match, or a Star Wars opening video to kick off a workshop!).
In the lead-up to this conference, both Alinta Ward and Megan Hampton have role modelled the finest experience approach, even ordering our coffee orders ahead of time, which arrived to the door, with motivational slogans!
It's fun what you can cover in the space of a couple of hours, and the wonderful conversations and reframes that occur.
Here are some that stood out today:
- Begin with the experience in mind
- The power of the GPS is that it cuts out 95% of the map... what information and content can you cull?
- Go on a listening tour! Find out what your group needs and avoid making assumptions
- At the beginning of your experience, set the tone by powering-up the group through low-friction approaches
- Weave in contrast through your run sheet (AKA SPARK Sheet)
Thanks for hosting a delightful day! And hope you enjoy the book, team!
