How to moderate panel interviews: Leanne Hughes interviews Kjell Lutz
What's the beauty of working for a big company? Getting cool opportunities, including (if you're up for it), moderating panel discussions!
That's how my guest this week, Kjell Lutz and I both got our foot in the door with moderation and facilitation.
Let's talk about panels for a second.
You see some great ones, you see some ordinary ones.
Probably the most average ones, are where the moderator asks Panellist A to respond, then Panellist B, then Panellist C to the same questions.
It's the role of the moderator to create dynamic conversations, get some contrast in opinions. But how do you do that?
In this conversation, you’ll hear how Kjell got his start with moderating panels and MCing, how he creates a dynamic conversation between panelists and audiences; how he gets large audiences interacting with content as well.
Kjell loves to lead different work forms that contribute to the learning process of the participants.
As a moderator, he facilitates the rounds of conversations to create the space that is needed.
