Kauai, what a place to connect, learn, grow, run, eat and drink!

Such an amazing experience over the last week, learning from Alan Weiss and my global Growth Cycle group (consultants from Canada, Japan, USA and Australia descending to Hawaii for a week).

Here were some of my favourite insights from the many hours of conversation and introspection:

• Be provocative, not promotional
• Create a fantastic lifestyle and you'll be a better consultant as a result
• There's no such thing as Vision Critical but there is Mission Critical. Focus on your mission.
• You don't need clarity. If you can live in ambiguity, you'll be happy.
• If I can configure my car, why can't I configure my life?
• If you're afraid, you lose the ability to help people
• "Nothing will drain you like BORING!"
• Always try to find a point of difference, even if you're an observer in a meeting
• "Waiting will kill you"
