Just a splendid four days out west. Perth, thank you!

Wonderful people, wonderful weather, wonderful conversations.

Loved hosting a 2-day conference for a global team, coming together, who have the opportunity to create incredible impact on communities for generations to come.

Just joyous spending time and hosting conversations with very talented and passionate people, and fun to help plan it with Shannon and Teresa ✨
Big kudos to our event team at the Westin Hotel..no ask was too big. Wanted some printed docs? They delivered them to the function room in no time. Post-it notes? They brought up a pack with everything in it. Aircon temp change? Tick tick tick. It makes hosting so much easier!

On the final afternoon, it was fun to draw on my marketing experience + the evangelism/word-of-mouth stories from my time at Wicked Campers, to share how functions can build their brand and influence / win time with others in the business.

This morning, it was so great to catch up with Gemma Clarke and her colleagues, riffing on scaling leadership / learnings across a global business, when everyone is so time poor…generating new ideas on how to balance asynchronous material with the best benefits of a real-time virtual call.

I’m pretty much a hermit before hosting any type of conference, so it was lovely to decompress after Day 2 with a walk and talk with Jo Alilovic followed by a Broome catchup (with free financial advice) from Leighton B. and then a facilitator catchup with Prina Shah ,Joel Birch , Bethan Winn and Melissa Lithgow.

It’s really tough when you travel for work and want to balance catching up with everyone vs ensuring you’re delivering the best/full of energy, but definitely leaving feeling with a full bucket! Plus, awesome to get some great runs in, too!
