I enjoyed attending the TikTok takeover of Parliament House in Brisbane last night.

I'm not a TikTok influencer, but my good pal Sally Prosser is on there, sharing her voice and confidence tips to 300k+ followers...So, after a rewarding day or workshopping together, she invited me to this event, highlighting the socio-economic impact of TikTok in Australia.

For this post: Let's park national security + mental health for a minute (I know, that's hard) but I'd love us to focus on how this platform is driving real business growth.

After meeting some of the fabulous creative creators, I was staggered at what they'd achieved for their business through the platform.

Here are some stats from the report I found interesting:
- 78% of businesses said TikTok positively impacted their ability to expand geographic reach and attract new Australian customers.
- 41% of TikTok users reported visiting a restaurant or shop recommended on the platform at least once in the PAST MONTH.
- 38% of TikTok users have purchased a product or service recommended on the platform in the past month.

There are 8.5 million Australian users on the platform, which equates to a third of all Aussie internet users.

Check out the report, which has some great case studies feat Tennis Australia, Football Australia, Brooki Bakehouse, and more: https://lnkd.in/giQT86Rz

It's tempting to want to jump on and post more...but for now, I'll just check out what new beaut restaurants in Brisbane are opening soon!
